That Microsoft would want to extract as much coin as possible from their last Bungie-made Halo game is understandable.  But $150?  It’s enough to trigger cat-helmet flashbacks.

Ranters, I’m a standard edition kind of guy these days, but I will occasionally splurge for the special edition when I deem it essential.  What are your purchasing habits in this arena?  Are you slaves to the premium packaging, or do you always opt for the cheapest box possible?  Also, what happened to special editions costing just $10 more?
