Every weapon in the game has some use, and there isn’t one outstanding weapon. It boils down to play preference and playstyle in the end. However, some weapons are more effective when compared to the rest. Picking these weapons up will significantly raise your chances to win the game, and overall you’ll have an easier time on the battlefield. Here are the best weapons to use in Valorant.
10 Marshal (1,100 Credits)
A cheaper alternative of Operator, Marshal is a great economy round buy. It does have a lot of drawbacks and, unlike Operator, doesn’t guarantee a one-shot. Marshal is best suited for low budget rounds where the rest of players are rocking less powerful weapons.
You can tag the opposing players once, and your team can finish them for some easy kills. Landing a headshot at any distance will still guarantee an instant kill, so players that can constantly land good shots are more suited for Marshal.
9 Sherrif (800 Credits)
This incredibly powerful pistol can one-tap players up to 30 meters, and at only 800 Credits, it’s a staple weapon in higher elo economy rounds. It’s very similar to Desert Eagle from CS:GO, but unlike Dessert Eagle, Sheriff cannot one-shot players after 30 meters even after connecting a headshot.
Sherrif also has a decent recoil, and new players will usually struggle with this weapon. However, once mastered, Sheriff can be a serious nuisance on the battlefield.
8 Bucky (900 Credits)
Bucky is the only shot-gun on the list and rightfully so. It usually one-shots anyone within a 15-meter distance, which makes it a powerhouse in close-quarter-combats. Bucky is also pretty cheap and great for early-round skirmishes. Just buy a Bucky and hold a corner for some quick cheesy kills.
Despite getting nerfed by Riot Games, Bucky is still a great choice of weapon. It is also great for stomping the lower elos of competitive mode.
7 Odin (3,200 Credits)
While the weapon is actually pretty good, it’s very much a luxury weapon at a price point of 3200 Credits. Even though the gun is very powerful, most players tend to stick with assault rifles as they are much cheaper.
The gun fires extremely fast at 15.6 rounds/seconds and takes two headshots to eliminate the target. Despite being a strong weapon, buying Odin will definitely hurt the overall economy of a player. Assault rifles despite having a lesser fire rate can produce the same result as an Odin.
6 Bulldog (2,100 Credits)
Another cheap alternative to assault rifles, Bulldog is a decent weapon. It fires 9.5 rounds/second and does a 116 damage on headshot at all ranges. With slow fire speed and no guaranteed kill on headshots, Bulldog is basically an inferior version of the two premier assault rifles in the game.
It also has fewer bullets with 24 in the magazine and 94 in total. This being said, at its price point, Bulldog is the cheapest rifle in the game.
5 Ghost (500 Credits)
The silent killer has established itself as one of the best budget weapons in the game. Coming at an extremely cheap price of 500 credits, Ghost is not only overpowered in the pistol rounds, but it also fairs decently against the big guns.
The Ghost can one-shot enemies to the head if they don’t have Shields, and it takes two headshots if they do. The gun also has a big magazine size, which makes it a perfect choice for the pistol rounds.
4 Spectre (1,600 Credits)
Another weapon that is extremely cheap but packs a huge punch. With an insane fire of 13.2 rounds/second, Spectre destroys everyone at close range. However, it’s still an SMG, and players need to land multiple shots in order to eliminate the target.
You’ll at least need two headshots and one body shot to secure a kill. Spectre is a go-to weapon for budget players, and for a meager price of 1600 Credits, it definitely offers a lot.
3 Operator (4,500 Credits)
Not much to say about this gun, except it is the only weapon in the game that has the potential to one-shot anyone. Any bullet fired from Operator that hits any players above the waist will instantly result in a kill.
It is perfect for long-range engagements or just for catching off guard enemies in general. Operator is, however, a sniper rifle, and not everyone is capable of handling it. It is a hit-or-miss weapon whose every bullet matters.
2 Vandal (2,900 Credits)
Vandal has a higher damage potential than Phantom, but it is less consistent overall. The weapon is perfect for players that are confident in their skills and can land headshots on a regular basis. Vandal does produce a noticeable kick while shooting, and it’s less accurate compared to Phantom.
It also has a small magazine size, and every bullet needs to connect its target in order for the gun to be effective.
1 Phantom (2,900 Credits)
Assault rifle is arguably the strongest weapon category in Valorant. Phantom, being one of the only two premiere assault rifles in the game, brings a lot to the table. It is a versatile weapon that can come in handy in any scenario.
It has a decent magazine size and produces very little recoil. Phantom has an amazing fire rate of 11 rounds/sec, which is enough to obliterate any team. The only downside of the weapon is that its damage starts to fall after 15 meters.
